Willa McCaffrey-Noviss, MEd, RP
Willa McCaffrey-Noviss is a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO) and graduate of the University of Toronto’s Counselling and Psychotherapy Master’s program. She holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours from Mount Allison University, where she completed two years of research in palliative care. Willa also completed a Certificate in Sex Therapy at the University of Guelph in 2021 and Optimizing Sexual Experiences training with Dr. Peggy Kleinplatz in 2024. She has a special interest in helping clients deepen their sexual and relational lives across the lifespan, supporting them as they age, change and navigate growth edges.
Willa enjoys working with individuals and couples on concerns involving communication, trust ruptures, desire discrepancies, and intimacy. She has several years of clinical experience supporting clients through a wide range of sexual issues, including difficulties communicating about sex, sexuality and identity exploration, erectile and performance challenges, arousal and orgasm difficulties, shame, and the impacts of sexual assault. She is experienced in supporting couples of all ages, sexual identities and relationship dynamics and she incorporates a non-shaming, kink-aware, trauma-informed framework to help her clients. Her approach integrates insight-building, sex education, communication skills, and mindfulness-based strategies to strengthen emotional and sexual wellbeing in connection to the self and with others.
Grounded in psychodynamic therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS), Willa helps clients understand the emotional and relational patterns that shape their sexual lives. Willa enjoys helping her clients to not only heal and process psychological wounds, but to build fulfilling lives and relationships with themselves and others that reflect their values and desires. She supports them in healing shame, integrating conflicted parts of the self, and building lives that reflect their values and desires. Willa offers a shame-free, non-judgmental and sex positive therapeutic container where clients can openly explore their thoughts, patterns, and desires. Willa considers sexual concerns within the broader context of people’s lives and their relationships, viewing sexuality as an interconnected aspect of identity rather than a problem to be excised.
Willa offers virtual sessions Monday and Tuesday (9 am–6 pm) and Wednesday through Friday (mornings).
