Consultation & Collaboration

We are available to Consult and Collaborate with Therapists!

Consult

Most therapists do not get much (or any!) sex therapy training, and sexual difficulties are very common among clients seeking help for general mental health concerns. It’s not always of benefit to a client who is already engaged in therapy to transfer to a sex therapist. Dr. Morag Yule is available to consult with therapists who have questions, or are seeking guidance or suggestions in helping existing clients with sexual concerns. We also offer training and collaborative therapy.

Collaborate

Clients who already have a good working relationship with a therapist for other concerns may benefit from a few sessions with a sex therapist. Clinicians at Ontario Sex Therapy can provide collaborative care to help ensure that sexual issues are properly assessed and addressed. This might include a client seeing a sex therapist for a few sessions for assessment and psychoeducation, followed by consultation and collaboration with the existing therapist to incorporate this work into the existing therapeutic relationship.
