Lindsey Snaychuk, MA, PhD Student
Lindsey Snaychuk is a Clinical Psychology PhD candidate at Toronto Metropolitan University. She completed her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University and her Bachelor's degree with Honours in Psychology at Vancouver Island University. She also completed a graduate certificate in Sexual Health from the University of Alberta. Lindsey has been involved in sex research for many years and her doctoral research focuses on the assessment of compulsive sexual behaviour.
Lindsey has completed clinical training at St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital, and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). She has experience working with adults of all ages across a range of presenting concerns including mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, substance use disorders, trauma and stressor related disorders, and personality disorders.
Lindsey takes a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach to therapy. She draws largely from cognitive behavioural and mindfulness-based approaches to provide services for a range of sexual concerns and sexual interests. She has a particular interest in working with individuals struggling with compulsive sexual behaviour, problem pornography use, and OCD with sexuality-related themes (e.g., pedophilia OCD).
