Jennifer Stanuch, MSW, RSW

Jenny is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. She completed her Master's in Social Work at The Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. Jenny completed a post-graduate certificate in sex therapy from the University of Michigan and is a certified sex therapist through the American Academy of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT).

Jenny believes that therapy offers a space for clients to discover how to inhabit themselves more fully, which includes sexuality as part of the human experience. Her work is guided by psychodynamic and interpersonal modalities that offer clients an invitation to explore their thoughts, feelings, and beliefs to see what unfolds. Jenny also sees the value in utilizing or integrating elements of other treatment modalities when appropriate including cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy skills, cognitive processing therapy, and somatic awareness.

Jenny works with individuals and couples of all sexualities and genders to address a wide variety of sexual issues. She has extensive experience working with sexual abuse, sexual assault, trauma/complex trauma, and PTSD including how these experiences impact sexuality and relationships. Additionally, she is skilled at supporting people with issues of desire and arousal, pain with intimacy, relationship and sexual communication, exploring sexual identity and beliefs, and general mental health or medical concerns impacting sexual well-being.

She is available to see clients virtually on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
