Saranyaa Sarvananthan, OPCC Dipl Psych, RP

Saranyaa Sarvananthan is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT). She holds a postgraduate diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, where she graduated as Valedictorian, and a diploma in Assaulted Women’s and Children’s Counselling & Advocacy.

Saranyaa works with individuals and couples navigating the complex terrain of intimacy, trauma, and relational healing. Rooted in psychodynamic, feminist, and intersystems frameworks, her approach honours the ways sexuality, desire, and embodiment are shaped by both personal and systemic histories.

Drawn to the spaces where vulnerability meets transformation, Saranyaa helps clients explore how sexuality and desire can carry the echoes of trauma — in the body, in connection, and in self-expression. Her background in gender-based violence and sexual assault support has cultivated a deep capacity to hold stories of pain and violation with compassion; while also creating space for pleasure, healing, and reconnection.

Her clinical training includes Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals and couples, Internal Family Systems for Couples and Families, and Integrative Sex and Couples Therapy.She supports clients in reclaiming both safety and pleasure, helping them reconnect with their desires, express their authentic selves, and experience greater presence in relationships.

Saranyaa offers virtual sessions and welcomes clients seeking a space where their stories of rupture and reconnection can be held with care. ;
Saranyaa is currently working in Consultation with Dr. Caroline Maykut and is available for virtual sessions on weekdays 10am-7pm.
