Lindsay Horne, MSW, RSW

Lindsay Horne is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Windsor in 2019. Lindsay has been providing sex and relationship therapy for two years and has taken the Intensive Sex Therapy Course through the University of Guelph. She is currently a student in the Sex Therapy Certificate program at Modern Sex Therapy Institute. She also has certificates in Addictions and Concurrent Disorders. 

Lindsay works with individuals and relationships.  She is inclusive of sexual orientation, relationship orientation (including consensual non-monogamy), kink and BDSM friendly.

 Lindsay uses an attachment-based approach that is founded in the principle that we are all trying our best. She primarily uses an emotion focused, somatic and sex therapy approaches but does use a combination of therapies in her practice which may include cognitive behavioural, dialectic, solution focused, and motivational interviewing. 

Lindsay has experience working with individuals and relationships struggling with challenges that affect them, including: anxiety and anxious attachments, BDSM and kink, boundaries, building trust and safety in sex and intimacy, communication, difficulty with emotions, desire discrepancy (low/high libido), erectile dysfunction and performance anxiety, exploring pleasure, intimacy, LGBTQ+ experiences (gender identity & sex orientation), relationships (monogamous, open, ethically non-monogamous, polyamorous), pain during sex, people pleasing, self-esteem and self-worth, sexual communication, navigating consent, sexual health and wellness, sexual values, stress, and undesired or out-of-control sexual behaviour (e.g., porn, sex, substances).

Lindsay is available for virtual sessions on Monday mornings, Wednesday afternoons and Thursdays.
